Dear CEO,
The more the world evolves to IOT (internet of things), the saying,” data is crude oil!” becomes the foundation of managing a business. Big data intelligent is crucial to effective business management.
Data is formed every half second and technological advancement is there to record it, both big and small-scale organisations need this to make smart decisions.
The outstanding benefit for marketers is the ability to create campaigns based off from insights gotten from this data. Before now, most of marketing activities were done based on instinct. Now with data management, marketing operations can be more cost effective.
How can you access the data?
I recommend, regardless of the size of your business, manage your data base. However, there are some free and pay data sets which may be useful for marketing.
Organisation like Facebook, google, and other social media are useful to get insight you can use for marketing.
How?
Below are three tips for marketing with data gotten from an outside source.
- Customer review:
Website like Amazon allow customers to give review. This qualitative review can be used for market research. It does not have to be a review on your product. It can be a review on your competitor. The aim is to have an insight from the data so must know how best to position your product or service to the customer based on what they need and want.
- Insight on Trends:
Social media sites like twitter and face book help to know the trends and the conversation that your customers or potential customer are having. you can leverage this and create real time engagements.
- Understand your competitors:
It is easier to check out what your competitors are doing with the data they give out on their website and social media accounts.
And I hope this adds value to you.
