Do not get overwhelmed. The metaverse is still at the gestation stage.
I should add, however, many tech giants are developing different aspects, they hope would contribute to the Metaverse.
It is good to be proactive as a business owner. Hence, my five tips to get you ready for the metaverse.
- Move from curiosity to in-depth knowledge:
Dear CEO,
It is not just enough to follow trends. Please, set up alerts about the metaverse. Understand what the predictions are. We know knowledge is power and the more knowledge you have on “meta verse” the better.
2. Understand the behavioural pattern of your target audience:
Dear CEO,
Your target audience have behaviour patterns, you need to analyse that data.
This will assist you to anticipate any changes when the metaverse is actualized.
3. Upgrade your story telling:
Dear CEO,
To survive in a generation, primarily driven by AI, storytelling will be the human
element to build and sustain connections. Hence, your customers journey
needs to be founded on story telling.
4. Build your personal brand:
Dear CEO,
It is said that the Metaverse will give room for the creator economy. You are
not your business. Yes! You are not your business. One of the smart moves to
make, is to build thought leadership in your industry. Alternatively, build a
personal brand you earn from and your business can leverage on.
5. Get professional advice:
Dear CEO,
Every element of your business (accounting to law, to marketing) will have to
evolve, regardless of the size. Hence, consult professionals on all elements of
your business.
